Terms of service

Last updated: 10 October 2026

These terms apply to your use of ribeaestore.com and to every order you place with us. Please read them before you buy. By placing an order you agree to them.

1. Who we are

Ribea is the trading name of an online store operated by RIBEA LTD, a private limited company registered in England and Wales.

  • Company number: 17366039
  • Registered office: Office 7411, 58 Peregrine Road, Hainault, Ilford, Essex, IG6 3SZ, United Kingdom
  • Email: help@ribeaestore.com
  • Website: ribeaestore.com

In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean RIBEA LTD. When you buy from this website, RIBEA LTD is the seller.

2. What we sell

We sell digital educational eBooks about growing herbs, salad and vegetables in small spaces. All products are digital. We do not sell physical goods, subscriptions or services, and nothing is shipped.

We take care to describe each eBook accurately on its product page. Images of covers are for illustration.

3. Who can order

You must be at least 18 years old to place an order. By ordering you confirm that the details you give us are accurate and that you are authorised to use the payment method.

4. How the contract is made

  • Placing an order is an offer to buy from us.
  • A contract is formed when we send you an order confirmation by email.
  • We may decline or cancel an order — for example if payment is not authorised, if there is an obvious pricing error, or if we suspect fraud. If we do, we will tell you and refund anything you have paid.

5. Prices and payment

  • Prices are shown in euros (EUR) unless stated otherwise.
  • Any taxes that apply to your order are shown at checkout before you pay.
  • Each purchase is a single one-off payment. There are no recurring charges.
  • Payment is taken at the time of your order through our checkout, which is provided by Shopify, and is processed by regulated third-party payment providers. We do not see or store your full card details.
  • Your bank or card issuer may apply currency conversion or other charges, which are outside our control.
  • Purchases appear on your statement as ribeaestore.

We may change prices at any time, but changes do not affect orders we have already confirmed.

6. Delivery

Your eBook is delivered electronically after your payment is confirmed. Full details, including what to do if it does not arrive, are in our Digital Delivery Policy.

7. Cancellations and refunds

Your rights to cancel an order and to receive a refund are set out in our Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms. In summary: if you are a consumer you normally have 14 days to cancel, but for digital content that right ends once you start downloading or accessing the eBook, provided you agreed to immediate delivery and acknowledged this at checkout.

8. Your licence to use the eBooks

When you buy an eBook we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to download it and use it for your own private, non-commercial purposes. You may keep copies on your own devices and print a copy for your own use.

You must not:

  • share, resell, rent, lend or give away the eBook or any copy of it;
  • upload it to any website, file-sharing service or public platform;
  • copy, adapt or republish its text or images, except as the law allows; or
  • remove any copyright or ownership notice.

You are buying a licence to use the content, not ownership of the content itself. If an order is refunded, the licence for that eBook ends.

9. Intellectual property

All content on this website and in our eBooks — including text, images, illustrations, cover designs, layout and the Ribea name — is owned by or licensed to RIBEA LTD and is protected by copyright and other laws. All rights are reserved.

10. Educational content only

Our eBooks and website content are provided for general educational and informational purposes. They are not professional, financial, legal, medical or individualised nutritional advice.

Growing plants depends on many things we cannot know or control, including light, climate, season, materials and care. Individual outcomes vary and we do not guarantee any particular result. You are responsible for using the information sensibly and safely in your own circumstances, including checking any restrictions that apply to your property, such as balcony weight limits or tenancy rules.

11. Quality of digital content

If you are a consumer, you have legal rights in relation to digital content that is faulty or not as described. Our eBooks must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. Our Refund Policy explains what we will do if they are not. Nothing in these terms affects those rights.

12. Using this website

You agree not to misuse this website, including by attempting to gain unauthorised access to it, interfering with how it works, using it for anything unlawful or fraudulent, or scraping or copying its content in bulk.

We do not promise that the website will always be available or free from errors, and we may update or withdraw parts of it at any time.

13. Our responsibility to you

We do not exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, and for breach of your legal rights as a consumer.

Subject to that:

  • we are responsible for loss or damage that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill, but not for loss that was not foreseeable;
  • if faulty digital content that we supplied damages a device or other digital content belonging to you, and this is caused by our failure to use reasonable care and skill, we will repair the damage or pay you compensation. We are not liable for damage you could have avoided by following our instructions or by having in place the minimum system requirements we advised;
  • we supply our products for private use only. We have no liability to you for any loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption or loss of business opportunity.

14. Events outside our control

We are not responsible for delay or failure caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as failures of internet, hosting, payment or email services. If such an event delays delivery of your order, we will let you know and take reasonable steps to reduce the delay. Your refund rights are not affected.

15. Privacy

We use your personal information as described in our Privacy Policy.

16. Complaints

If you are unhappy with anything, please email help@ribeaestore.com with your order number and a description of the problem. We aim to reply within 2 business days and to resolve complaints fairly and promptly.

17. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version that applies to your order is the version published on this website when you placed it. The date at the top shows when they were last changed.

18. Law and courts

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer living in another part of the United Kingdom or in the European Union, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live, and you may bring proceedings in the courts of that country or in the courts of England and Wales.

19. General

  • If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest continue to apply.
  • If we do not enforce a right straight away, we can still enforce it later.
  • This contract is between you and us. No one else has rights to enforce it.
  • We may transfer our rights and obligations to another organisation, and will tell you if this happens. This will not affect your rights.
